A few years ago, I found myself in a rather difficult relationship that inspired the making of this short film. While the guide may not be based on my lived experiences, I spoke to a few of my peers and researched narcissism, which further fueled my curiosity and excitement to create this film. We shot the film in February 2024 and released it in August 2024. I wrote and directed this film.

Wairimu reflects on the deceptive nature of love, likening it to being blindfolded and lost in darkness. With humor and candor, she introduces her audience to Jason, her charming yet self-absorbed boyfriend.
Through scenes at a café, their home, and her workplace, Wairimu exposes Jason's narcissistic behavior, which escalates to manipulation and even physical violence, Wairimu remains resolute in her resolve to break free.
