Once a place of gathering, prayer, memory and connection, the Mugumo tree now stands entangled in the things we have created—artificial intelligence, e-waste, discarded technology, politics, greed and the relentless extraction of the earth’s resources. Its bark is interrupted by the cracks of civilisation; its roots struggle beneath our idea of progress.
